19 year-old Antonia Meyer, a student of the Mittenwald violin making school, carves the scroll of a violin during her practice lesson in the southern German resort of Mittenwald September 23, 2004. The school is one of two violin making schools in Germany and educates about 80 people in making violins and different plucking instruments over seven semesters. The town of Mittenwald is famous for its violins called "Mittenwalderinnen" (women of Mittenwald), first produced by German violin maker [Matthias Klotz] in the 17th century.
