Wendelin Wiedeking, CEO of German sportscar maker Porsche AG, pauses during his speech at the annual news conference in Stuttgart, December 6, 2000. Porsche said it expected unit sales in its current 2000/2001 business year to exceed 50,000 vehicles, lifting turnover above the previous year's 7.13 billion marks ($3.21 billion). Porsche sold 48,797 cars in the 1999/2000 year to July 31, a 10.9 percent rise on the previous year.
