A GERMAN LESBIAN COUPLE LEAVE SCHOENEBERG CITY HALL AFTER A SAME-SEX
MARRIAGE IN BERLIN.
Lesbian couple Gudrun Pannier and Angelika Baldow (front) leave the

in Berlin August 1, 2001. German law allows gays and lesbians from
today on to officially register their partnerships and enjoy many of
the same tax and pension benefits as heterosexual couples.
