A PHOTOGRAPH OF A VICTIM, KILLED IN A PLANE COLLISION LAST YEAR, LEANS
AGAINST A PEG IN UEBERLINGEN....
A photograph of a victim, killed in a mid-air plane collision last
year, leans against a numbered peg near the southern German city of
Ueberlingen July 2, 2003. On July 1, 2002, 71 people, including 52
children, were killed when a Bashkirian Tupolev 154 airliner and a
Boeing 757 from the DHL delivery service collided at an altitude of
36,000 feet (about 11,000 metres) scattering flaming wreckage over a
20-square mile area. The numbered pegs mark the positions, where the
dead bodies were found. REUTERS/Alexandra Winkler
