Leader of Free Democratic Party (FDP) and German Vice Chancellor and Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle leaves after making a statement during a news conference at the party headquarters in Berlin April 3, 2011. The embattled chief of Chancellor Angela Merkel's junior coalition partner FDP will not seek re-election at the upcoming party congress in May.
"After 10 years as party chairman, I will not run for the office again at the coming federal party congress," Guido Westerwelle told reporters on Sunday, adding he would focus on his job as foreign minister in Merkel's cabinet. REUTERS/Pawel Kopczynski (GERMANY - Tags: POLITICS)
