After an appeals process by Gary Graham's lawyer that Texas Governor George W. Bush's spokesman called "unchartered territory," Bush said during a press conference in Austin June 22 that his job was "to ensure our state's laws are enforced fairly," and that he was "confident that justice was served." Graham was pronounced dead at 8:49 P.M. CST.
