Singers Macy Gray (L) and Christina Aguilera pose together after both women received a Grammy Award nomination as Best New Artist as nominations were announced January 4 in Beverly Hills. Gray from Canton, Ohio and was also nominated for her song " Do Something" from the album " On How Life is" as Best Female R& B vocal performance. The Grammy Awards, presented by the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences will be presented February 23, 2000 from Staples Center in Los Angeles.
