A technician works on a water boiler, a part of a solar water heating system, which is going to be placed at a house rooftop in Voula suburb, southwest of Athens April 9, 2013. Greece has seen a rise in exports of solar water heating systems during the economic crisis, a rare success for the recession-mired Mediterranean country whose economy is heavily dependent on imports. Exports of solar water heating boilers and collectors rose by 4.7 percent and 13.4 percent respectively in 2011-12, according to the Greek Solar Industry Association (EBHE). Demand for solar water heating collectors domestically also rose by +5.6 percent in the same period, pushed higher by a rise in the price of electricity and heating oil, EBHE says. However, domestic demand for solar water heater boilers saw a decline in demand of 2.5 percent. Picture taken April 9, 2013. REUTERS/Yorgos Karahalis (GREECE - Tags: BUSINESS ENERGY INDUSTRIAL)
