Supporters of Sandra Torres, former first lady and the National Unity of Hope Party's (UNE) presidential candidate, gather outside the Constitutional Court in Guatemala City August 4, 2011. Torres said she expects a favourable resolution from the Constitutional Court that will allow her to take part in elections in September. Guatemala on June 29 threw out a bid for the presidency by Torres, who divorced her husband, the current President of Guatemala Alvaro Colom, earlier this year so she could skirt a law that blocks the president's relatives from running for office. Some 6 million Guatemalans are eligible to vote on Sept. 11 in the first round of the elections, which will also choose a vice president, mayors and congressmen.
