Protesters carry signs during a demonstration against a political corruption scandal, in downtown Guatemala City, May 2, 2015. The scandal refers to the arrests made on April 16, which were coordinated by the International Commission against Impunity in Guatemala (CICIG) and the Public Ministry authorities of Guatemala, involving 20 senior officials who are accused of leading a massive network of customs fraud and tax evasion operating in the ports of the Central American country. Juan Carlos Monzon, the private secretary to Guatemalan Vice President Roxana Baldetti and a current fugitive, was among those who faced arrest. The signs read, "No more impunity, no more impunity" (L), "I want a natural death, not one for the guilt of a fucking criminal" (C, on the ground) and "Firefighters have salaries, and politicians, volunteers" (R).
