An elderly woman drinks coffee in a shelter for evacuated people from a volcano eruption in Amatitlan, Guatemala, January 17. The Pacaya volcano erupted, spewing lava and ash, forcing the evacuation of at least two neighboring villages. The Pacaya volcano, some 30 miles (48 km) south of the capital, spewed lava 3,000 feet (914 meters) into the air.
