Earthquake survivor Aline Deispeines washes clothes in Port-au-Prince
Earthquake survivor Aline Deispeines, 44, washes her clothes after finishing her day's work of teaching other survivors of the 2010 disaster to make crafts to sell as part of the objectives of her Organization of Dedicated Women in Action (OFEDA), in Port-au-Prince February 27, 2012. Deispeines founded OFEDA six months after the quake destroyed her home and now has some 200 members, all of whom lost their homes and some of their family members. Deispeines describes the project, which is headquartered in a tent, as one which teaches them trade skills and helps to empower them to become self-sufficient.
