Eye surgeon Ming Wang holds a microphone for Kajal, an acid-blinded five-year-old girl from Calcutta, India who has come to a clinic that offers free sight restoration treatment in Nashville, Tennessee, in this picture taken in early October 2007 at the third annual "EyeBall" a fund raiser the group holds every year. Kajal, who was found abandoned at age 3 in a train station by a mission group, "The Society of Underprivileged People," which directed her to the Wang Foundation, is blind because an angry stepmother poured acid in her eyes. Wang helped establish the foundation in 2003 to treat without charge cases of corneal blindness through a combination of transplants and laser treatments.
