UK artist makes 1.5km 'Ribbon of Light' tribute to NHS using CDs
A walker views the installation 'Ribbon of Light', by artist Bruce Munro as a tribute to UK health and key workers, along a hilltop footpath, following the outbreak of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), near Warminster in Wiltshire, south west Britain, May 7, 2020. The 1.5 kilometre shimmering piece, being created with over 100 000 disused CDs, and attached along a stretch of fencing on the Long Knoll hillside, will take Bruce and family members several months to finish but, says the artist, will spread both joy to walkers exercising after lockdown ends and raise money for NHS workers.
