A young calfs looks through the gates of a truck January 14, 2001 in Westerheim, Germany, as it is transported to be slaughtered with the rest of its herd after an animal suffering from BSE was founded in a farm of this small village. The oubreak of bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE) cases in German cattles was found after comprehensive testing was set up last autumn.
