German builder Hochtief swung to a pretax profit in 2012 from a loss in the previous year, helped by one-time gains from asset divestments in Chile and Australia. Hochtief disclosed on Thursday a pretax profit of 546.4 million euros ($716.3 million), compared with a loss of 127 million in 2011.
