HONG KONG MEMBER OF CHINA'S PARLIAMENT DR RAYMOND WU GIVES INTERVIEW IN HONG KONG.
Hong Kong member of China's parliament Dr. Raymond Wu speaks during an interview with Reuters in Hong Kong June 21, 2004. Hong Kong's democracy bloc, which has offered to mend fences with communist Beijing, will have to do a lot more to win the friendship of Chinese leaders, a prominent pro-Beijing politician said on Monday. Speaking in an interview, Dr. Wu said the democrats' offer to tone down their anti-China rhetoric was far from enough to reverse decades of mistrust and bad blood with Beijing. "They must be willing to pay some price. To break the ice, it is not effective to find a mere win-win solution, " Wu said. REUTERS/Kin Cheung KC/SH
