HONG KONG LEADER TUNG CHEE HWA ADDRESSES REPORTERS IN HONG KONG.
Hong Kong Chief Executive Tung Chee-hwa addresses reporters at the
government headquarters in Hong Kong July 7, 2003. Tung, who postponed
a controversial anti-subversion bill on Monday after losing the support
of a key legislative ally, is expected to embarrass his backers in
Beijing and raise fresh questions about how much longer the embattled
leader will be able to govern one of the world's key financial centres,
analysts said. Tung is celebrating his 66th birthday today.
