Secretary for Security Regina Ip browses a book on the teachings of Li
Hongzhi, founder of the Falun Gong spiritual movement, during an
interview at her office in Hong Kong January 15, 2002. The spiritual
movement is banned in mainland China. The territory's security boss
said on Tuesday there is no plan in Hong Kong to legislate against
activities of the Falun Gong, a spiritual group outlaws in mainland
China. However, she said there is evidence in China that shows the
possible damage caused by the superstitious teachings of the group.
