A Mongolian refugee girl sits on the stairs with her relatives at the Reception Centre for Asylum Seekers in Bekescsaba, 220 km (137 miles) southeast of Budapest, June 4, 2007. Hungary will join the European Union Schengen border patrol agreement on January 1, 2008, and will become EU's primary border for refugee control. The Schengen regime allows free movement of people within the EU, without border controls, and creates a unified external frontier, where police, customs and health checks are rigorous. June 20 has been designated as World Refugee Day by the United Nations General Assembly. REUTERS/Laszlo Balogh (HUNGARY)
