Addi Hermannsson of Iceland, the expedition leader of a nine man-strong Greenland Icecap Car Expedition, stands near a heavily modified Toyota Land Cruiser 4x4, as the expedition became the first to drive over the Greenland icecap May 21. The car, one of three to venture onto the icecap at Sarqap Sermerssuaq, is seen at the end of the Tasersuaq lake, 133,2 kms north of Nuuk, the capital of Greenland.
