Indian women stand in front of a Catholic hospital to collect food in Rangiya in India's north eastern Assam state August 11, 2000. Authorities in Assam, where survivors now face hunger and the threat of water-borne diseases, have stepped up relief work. About 300 people were feared dead and millions made homeless by the floods in India, Nepal, Bangladesh and Bhutan.
