A woman carries tarpaulin and blankets distributed by Red Cross during relief operation in Satdola village in India's north eastern Assam state on August 12,2000. Flood waters in Assam state started receding allowing relief workers to take in desperately needed food and medicine in the area. About 300 people are feared dead and millions have been left homeless after widespread monsoon flooding in north and northeast India, Bhutan, Nepal and Bangladesh.
