Devotees carry a huge idol of Ganesh, the Hindu deity of prosperity, for immersion in the sea in Mumbai September 6, 2006. The clay Statue of Ganesh is made two to three months before the day of Ganesh Chaturthi, a popular ten-day religious festival in India.
