An Indian army soldier mans his post after an encounter at village Kandi in Kupwara district, 87 kms (54 miles) northwest of Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir on March 27. Police said in Srinagar on Monday that eleven persons including six separatist militants were killed and fourteen others wounded in gunbattles and explosions in India's troubled state of Jammu and Kashmir since Sunday evening.
