AN INDIAN SOLDIER GUARDS OUTSIDE METEOROLOGICAL OFFICE IN SRINIGAR.
An Indian paramilitary soldier stands guard outside the meteorological office which was attacked by separatist militanst in Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir on January 7. According to police, four Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel who were guarding the building were killed and another two were wounded when suspected separatist militants attacked the office on Friday morning. CRPF is an Indian paramilitary force guarding the government buildings and other important installations in India's restive state of Jammu and Kashmir.
