Paramilitary soldiers patrol at Jhitka
Paramilitary soldiers patrol at Jhitka as they move towards Lalgarh in the West Midnapore district, some 170 km (106 miles) west of the eastern Indian city of Kolkata June 20, 2009. Indian police on Saturday said they had regained control of a West Bengal town captured by Maoist rebels in one of the most brazen attacks in recent years. Marching behind an anti-landmine vehicle, hundreds of police in flak jackets and combat gear entered the town of Lalgarh, about 170 km (100 miles) from Kolkata, capital of the eastern state.
