A naked Hindu holy man photographs other members of his group in the eastern Indian city of Calcutta January 11, 2001, while on the way to a religious festival south of the city. Monks and pilgrims are making their way to Sagar Island, 150 km (95 miles) south of Calcutta, for a holy dip at the confluence of the river and the Bay of Bengal for the "Makar Sankranti", a festival marking an auspicious day in the Hindu calendar.
