Hindu devotees take a holy dip in the river Godavari at the Kumbh Mela
festival in Nasik town, 180 km (112 miles) northeast of Bombay August
13, 2003. Hundreds of thousands of Hindu devotees have gathered in
Nasik to participate in the month-long religious event. The Kumbh Mela
occurs four times every twelve years at four different river bank
