STATE OF ASSAM.
Indian flood victims carry their belongings after being rescued in the
district of Demaji, 550 kms (342 miles) east of Guwahati in state of
Assam July 10, 2003. Surging river waters and landslides have killed at
least 48 people in eastern India in the flood prone areas.
