INDIAN HINDU ACTIVIST SHOUTS SLOGANS WHILE STANDING ON A TRAIN PLATFORM
IN AHMEDABAD.
An Indian Hindu activist of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, or World Hindu
Council, a hardline Hindu organisation, shouts slogans while standing
beside fellow activists on a train platform in the western Indian city
of Ahmedabad October 14, 2003. More than 70,000 Hindu activists are
heading to the northern Indian town of Ayodhya, which has been a
lighting rod for Hindu-Muslim tensions since the mosque was destroyed
in 1992, sparking some of India's worst religious rioting. REUTERS/Amit
