A police officer guards suspects of international drug syndicates as illicit drugs worth Rp 1.1 trillion ($117 million) are destroyed at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Cengkareng July 5, 2012. The drugs, which comprised of 362.45 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine, 1,052,000 ecstasy pills, and 118.27 kilograms of marijuana had been brought into the country by international syndicates operating out of China, Indonesia, Iran, Malaysia, Mexico, Myanmar, the Netherlands and Thailand and have been seized in raids conducted between May and June of this year.
