Indonesian riot police beat supporters of Indonesian People's Democratic Party (PRD) during a protest outside the General Election Commission (KPU) in Jakarta July 1. Police fired shots and beat a crowd of hundreds of protesters who were demanding the disqualification of Indonesia's ruling Golkar party from last month's election on Thursday. At least eight supporters were injured, including one with a gunshot wound to his chest.
