SUPPORTERS OF INDONESIAN PRESIDENT ABDURRAHMAN WAHID PROTEST IN SURABAYA EAST OF JAVA.
Supporters of Indonesian President Abdurrahman Wahid wave bamboo sticks and placards, one that reads "the people don't trust parliament-dissolve it", during a protest outside the local parliament building in the city of Surabaya in East Java February 5, 2001. Indonesian police on Monday fired warning shots into the air to disperse thousands of rampaging Wahid supporters in the nearby town Situbondo. Police said the mob, angry at parliament's censure of Wahid last week over two graft scandals, set fire to the headquarters of the former ruling Golkar party.
