A POLICE OFFICER STANDS OUTSIDE A CHURCH IN JAKARTA.
An Indonesian police officer, holding a tear-gas launcher, stands guard
outside a church after an explosion ripped through the building during
Sunday service in a Jakarta suburb July 22, 2001. Explosions hit two
Jakarta churches, blowing out the front of one church and injuring
several people. The blasts came a day after the country's top assembly
began impeachment hearings against embattled President Abdurrahman
Wahid, who has threatened to declare a state of emergency.
