A bird handler sends out his hawk to clear the runway of crows before
the return of a U.S. B-52 bomber to RAF (Royal Air Force) Fairford in
Gloucestershire, Britain, March 23, 2003. B-52s have taken part in the
past two nights of air attacks on Iraq. Possessing a wingspan of nearly
60 metres with eight massive engines the bombers have the ability to
carry nuclear or conventional weapons and can launch as many as 20
