Amir Adnan, the only survivor of the Amiriya shelter tragedy celebrates his birthday inside the shelter January 10, 2001. Adnan's seven-member family was among the nearly 400 civilians who were killed inside the shelter after being hit by two laser-guided U.S. bombs on February 13, 1990. Iraq will mark on January 17 the tenth anniversay of the Gulf War that ended Iraq's seven month occupation of Kuwait.
