A SUDANESE TRUCK DRIVER IS SURROUNDED BY THE MEDIA AFTER CROSSING THE
IRAQ-JORDAN BORDER IN KARAMEH....
Mohammad Ahmed Adam, a Sudanese fuel tanker driver is surrounded by the
media after crossing the Iraqi-Jordan border at the Karameh post on
March 22, 2003. Movements had slowed to a trickle through Jordan's land
border with Iraq on Saturday, with the odd vehicle arriving from Iraq
and no sign of the feared hordes of refugees fleeing the U.S.-led war.
Two fuel tankers, which usually flow through the border post in endless
convoys to supplying the kingdom with Iraq crude, returned to Jordan
empty after the Sudanese drivers found no one to fill up their tanks.
