BRITISH CAPTAIN JOHN WESTWARD HOISTS A RED JACKET OVER CAMP IN KUWAIT.
Captain John Westward of the Worcestershire and Sherwood Foresters
hosits a red jacket over their camp in Kuwait April 6, 2003. On the 6th
April 1812, as the English layed seige to the French Fortress of
Badojoz, Wellington's "45th of Foot" stormed the tower. Lt McPhearson
did not have a British flag and hoisted his own jacket to show the
tower had been taken. The tradition is carried out annually to mark
this event. REUTERS/Russell Boyce REUTERS
