MARIAM HAMZA WITH HER GRANDMOTHER WAVES TO HER DOCTOR BEFORE LEAVING AMMAN.
Mariam Hamza (L), sits with her grandmother and waves to her doctor in Amman January 16 before departing for Iraq following three months of cancer treatment. The Iraqi girl, who was moved from an Iraqi hospital to Amman's al-Amal Center last October following a campaign by a British member of parliament to have U.N. sanctions against Iraq lifted, was checked into a hospital in Jordan after suffering a cancer relapse. Mariam, who was previously brought from Baghdad to Scotland by MP George Galloway for treatment from leukaemia in 1997, is now blind.
