IRAQI DEMONSTRATORS HOLD UP PICTURE OF PRESIDENT HUSSEIN DURING RALLY.
Iraqi volunteers to a newly created military unit of the ruling Ba'ath Party, the al-Quds (Jerusalem) army, whose aim is to liberate Palestine from Israel, hold up a picture of Iraqi President Saddam Hussein with their guns during a rally in Baghdad February 7, 2001, as they shout slogans against new Israeli prime minister-elect Ariel Sharon. Iraq condemned Israel on Wednesday, saying it did not recognise any Israeli government whether led by newly-elected prime minister Sharon or by anybody else.
