HUSSEIN'S MAIN REPUBLICAN PALACE.

Soldiers from the 4/64 battalion, part of the second brigade of the third
division of the U.S. army, steal a refrigerator from Saddam Hussein's main
Republican Palace April 13, 2003. Most of Iraq lived in squalor but the
Iraqi President kept up one of the most oppulent palaces of the world. U.S.
officials have laid plans for a series of meetings of Iraqi opposition
leaders from inside and outside the country to pave the way for an interim
government. The first is set for Tuesday in the southern city of Nassiriya.
