IRAQIS TRY TO CATCH BOTTLES OF WATER HANDED OUT BY BRITISH ARMY IN UMM
QASR.
Iraqis try to catch bottles of water handed out by the British army in the
southern Iraq town of Umm Qasr March 26, 2003. Aid trickled into Iraq on
Wednesday, with Kuwait sending food to the border port of Umm Qasr and
trucks braving a dangerous trip across the west to get medicines to Baghdad.
U.S. officials say the food situation in parts of southern Iraq they now
occupy is not desperate yet. PP03030067 REUTERS/Jerry Lampen
