MANSFIELD ATTENDS START OF BLOODY SUNDAY INQUIRY IN LONDONDERRY.
Michael Mansfield QC, representing some of the relatives of victims of the Bloody Sunday march, arrives for the start of the official inquiry March 27. Hundreds of people turned out to the Guildhall for the opening of the public hearing chaired by Lord Saville, which will examine the evidence surrounding the civil rights march in the city on January 30, 1972 that ended in bloodshed when British troops fired on protestors and killed 13 people.
