An Israeli couple visiting the Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial museum April 13 look up at large photographs of Jews in the Warsaw Ghetto in Nazi-occupied Poland during the second world war. The Jewish state came to a standstill for Holocaust Memorial Day as sirens wailed for two minutes mid-morning in rememberance of the six million Jews killed by the Nazis in World War Two.
