Two elderly Jewish women, Sara Ehrenhat, 76, (R), and Heryka Shejnberg, 72, (L), show their disappointment November 5, after a German court rejected their demand to be paid for work as slave labourers in the Nazi death camp of Auschwitz. The court awarded compensation only to one of 21 Jewish women who sued the German government for unpaid wages. The court said 20 of the women had already received money for loss of freedom and hardship under Germany's 1953 Federal Compensation Law.
