Israeli Labour party leader Ehud Barak, a candidate for prime minister in the May election, crosses a Tel Aviv street with bodyguards March 15. Barak was cleared of blame in a report made public on a 1992 army training accident. Political opponents had accused Barak as army chief-of staff at that time, of leaving the scene of the accident before the wounded were evacuated.
