THE FAMOUS ANTI-CORRUPTION JUDGE ANTONIO DI PIETRO HOLDS THE CANDLE
DURING A PROTEST IN ROME.
Ex-magistrate and the most popular man in Italy for his judicial
assault on corruption, Antonio Di Pietro, holds a candle during a
protest in central Rome on October 11, 2002. About two thousands
people, led by Italian film director Nanni Moretti, marched holding lit
candles through the streets of Rome to protest against a disputed
justice bill passed by Italian parliament on Thursday, a law opponents
say was written to save Berlusconi from an ongoing graft trial.
