Marine Capt. Richard Ashby (2ndR) walks to court at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina April 22 with his defense team Maj. Michael Stahlman (L), Maj. William Weber (2ndL) and Capt. Jon Shelburne. Capt. Ashby is attending his first day of motions for charges of conduct unbecoming of an officer, conspiracy and obstruction of justice after military authorities discovered he removed a videotape shot during the low-level mission on Feb 3,1998 during which 20 people died when the jet he was flying cut the cable on a ski gondola in Italy.
