ITALIAN PRIME MINISTER D'ALEMA REACTS TO VERDICT.
Italian Prime Minister Massimo D'Alema listens to a reporter concerning the March 4 acquittal of U.S. Marine pilot Richard Ashby of involuntary manslaughter in the deaths of 20 people when his jet sheared the wires on their cable-car over an Italian ski resort last year. D'Alema said he was "baffled" by the ruling.
